Registration opens for European Association of Machine Translation (EAMT) annual conference
Registration is now open for the European Association of Machine Translation (EAMT) conference, to be held in Riga, Latvia, on May 30-June 1. The annual event, hosted this year by the language technology company Tilde and the University of Latvia, gathers Europe’s leading language technology specialists to showcase the very latest in machine translation tools and technology.
Presentations at EAMT 2016 will include enterprise use cases from organizations using machine translation, best practices from the global localization industry, the fruits of cutting-edge research and innovation, and the results of EU-funded ICT projects. The special invited speaker is Alexander Fraser of the University of Munich, who will discuss state-of-the-art techniques for translation to morphologically rich languages.
Machine translation is revolutionizing the localization industry, driving higher translation productivity than ever before. In recent years, machine translation technology has been adopted by large enterprises, the public sector, and e-commerce platforms, helping to enable multilingual communication with customers. Machine translation has been widely recognizes as a fundamental tool for breaking language barriers in the digital age.
EAMT 2016 will be held at the University of Latvia, one of the leading research universities in the Baltic states, located in the heart of downtown Riga. The local organizer, Tilde, is a leading European language technology company that specializes in custom machine translation and other multilingual technologies.
